The Educational Technology Department was formed in 2012 to provide opportunities for collaboration and sharing of knowledge and technology tools to enhance instruction. 

Vera Bierend is the Ed Tech Specialist for OFL. She holds a California teaching credential in business technology, along with a Master's degree in Education Technology from Pepperdine University. For over twenty-five years, Vera's passion has been to teach technology to students of all ages and provide professional development. Vera seeks to develop the skills of people of all ages so that they may own a strong expertise in current technology, and an aptitude to learn future technology in an ever-changing digital environment.
